"Several months ago, in anticipation of the birth of my son, I wrote “Atlas" for him. At the time, I could only imagine the feelings I’d have for him when I’d have to leave for tour. I didn’t truly understand the power and relevance of the song’s sentiment. Now, after having him in my life for almost three months and with Neverender just a few weeks away, I’m starting to feel it. This will be my first tour away from Atlas. And sure, it will be hard, but it’s all for him. I’d like to share that song with you. " - Claudio Sanchez

did anyone else catch the part in ‘atlas’ when he sings “and if there’s one good thing that comes from my away, it’s that you wont be anything like me” like did someone forget to tell claudio that he’s literally the best human being ever and that countless people idolize him because it doesnt sound like he got the memo

it’s almost like celebrities have their own lives and personal experiences that we don’t know about. or that they’re human like the rest of us and make mistakes and feel regret.

i get that people have personal demons and their own lives, even famous people (gasp). i was just complimenting my favorite artist? way to drive it home on the sass in an extremely unnecessary way. lighten up.

Coheed and Cambria - Atlas

So sleep tight little Atlas, cos
when your daddy goes off
Just you know-
That you’re the weight of his anchor
The love that’s guiding him home.
